ORDINANCE NO. 2013-. 53 ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING CONSUMPTION OF ALCOHOLIC LIQUOR - 300 NORTH WATER STREET AND CENTRAL PARK - ANNUAL SUMMER BLUES CONCERTS - WHEREAS, for the past several years a Summer Blues Concert program has been held in Central Park; and, WHEREAS, as written in City Code Chapter 52, Section 8, Te porary Permit, it is the intention of a local not-for-profit agency to sponsor a Summer B ues Concert and to offer beer and wine for sale to patrons for consumption at each even:; and, WHEREAS, such consumption of alcoholic liquor in Central P rk or 300 North Water Street, requires the express approval of the City Council; and, WHEREAS, the Council finds that it would be in the best interest of the local not- for-profit agency and of the City of Decatur that such consumption of alcoholic liquor as described be permitted for said limited time period. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DECATUR, ILLINOIS: Section 1. That on the days listed herein, and only on such days, between the hours listed opposite each, only those alcoholic beverages listed below may be consumed in Central Park located in downtown Decatur, said days and hours being particularly described as follows: Thursday, June 20, 2013 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. Be 3r and Wine Only 300 North Water Street Thursday, July 18, 2013 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. Be 3r and Wine Only Central Park Thursday, August 15, 2013 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. Bear and Wine Only Central Park Section 2. That no alcoholic beverage may be consumed a provided herein unless such alcoholic beverage is in a plastic or paper cup.
