RESOLUTION NO. R2012-161 <br /> RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE BID AND AUTHORIZING <br /> THE EXECUTION OF A CONTRACT FOR <br /> FRANKLIN & MAIN STREETS RECONSTRUCTION & REHABILITATION, CITY <br /> PROJECT 2010-13 <br /> NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br /> CITY OF DECATUR, ILLINOIS: <br /> Section 1. That the tabulation of bids received for City Project 2010-13 Franklin &Main <br /> Streets Reconstruction &Rehabilitation project be, and they are hereby, received and placed on <br /> file. <br /> Section 2. That the bid of Illinois Valley Paving Company, A Division of United <br /> Contractors Midwest, Inc., be accepted and a contract awarded accordingly and that said contract <br /> between Illinois Valley Paving Company and the City of Decatur be, and it is hereby modified, <br /> so that as modified, said contract authorizes a Contingency in an amount not to exceed $30,000 <br /> for a total contract amount from the City's allotment of Motor Fuel Tax funds, not to exceed <br /> $1,342,048.80. <br /> Section 3. That the changes in the above-described agreements are germane to said <br /> contract, as signed, and such changes are in the best interest of the City of Decatur and are <br /> authorized by law. <br /> Section 4. That the Mayor and City Clerk be, and they are hereby authorized and <br /> directed to execute a contract between the City of Decatur, Illinois, and Illinois Valley Paving <br /> Company, A Division of United Contractors Midwest, Inc., for said plan, for their bid price of <br /> $1,312,048.80 plus contingencies in the amount of$30,000.00 for a total not to exceed cost of <br /> $1,342,048.80 from the City's allotment of Motor Fuel Tax funds. <br /> PRESENTED and ADOPTED this 20th day of August, 2012. <br /> is ael T. cE/6y" Aayor <br /> ATTEST: <br /> L <br /> Linda M.
