ORDINANCE NO. 2012-33 ORDINANCE APPROVING APPOINTMENT OF CITY TREASURER Whereas, Ron Neufeld was appointed City Treasurer for a term commencing May 1, 2011 and ending April 30, 2015; and, Whereas, Mr. Neufeld has submitted his resignation from said office, said resignation effective May 31, 2012; and Whereas, Mayor Michael T. McElroy has requested this Council to assent to and approve the appointment of Gregg Zientara as City Treasurer for the remainder of Mr. Neufeld's unexpired term. NOW, THEREFOR, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DECATUR, ILLINOIS: SECTION 1. That the request for approval of appointment by the Mayor of Gregg Zientara as City Treasurer be received and placed on file. SECTION 2. That said request be, and the same is hereby, approved, and said person be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to be appointed to said respective office for the term commencing May 31, 2012 and continuing to April 30, 2015, or until his respective successor is appointed and qualified. SECTION 3. That the existing provisions of applicable ordinances in conflict with the provisions of this ordinance, to the extent of such conflicts be, and the same are hereby modified to conform with the provisions hereof, otherwise to remain in full force and effect.
