R2010-87 <br /> RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING CITY MANAGER <br /> TO CONDUCT AN ELECTRICITY PROCUREMENT AND <br /> EXECUTE A CONTRACT FOR ELECTRICITY SUPPLY SERVICES <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Decatur sent out Requests for Proposals to twelve suppliers <br /> licensed to do business in the State of Illinois, to provide electricity supply services; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City received qualified proposals from Ameren Energy Marketing, <br /> Champion Energy Services, Constellation New Energy, Direct Energy Business and Integrys <br /> Energy Services, to provide those services; and <br /> WHEREAS, the goal of this procurement process is to allow the flexibility in conducting <br /> the bid to respond to the daily changes in market prices for the selection of the optimum rates for <br /> the City of Decatur electricity accounts. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br /> DECATUR, ILLINOIS: <br /> Section 1. That the City Council does hereby award the contract for Electricity Supply <br /> Services to Integrys Energy Services. <br /> Section 2. That the City Council does hereby authorize Ryan P. McCrady, City Manager, <br /> to act on behalf of the City of Decatur to conduct an electricity procurement in accordance with <br /> City of Decatur purchasing regulations and to execute a contract for electricity supply services <br /> with the selected supplier prior to the close of the market the day price proposals are received. <br /> PRESENTED and ADOPTED this 3rd day of May, 2010. <br /> i - <br /> � <br /> IC AEL .
