ORDINANCE NO. 2004-13 ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING CONSUMPTION OF ALCOHOLIC LIQUOR ON PUBLIC RIGHT-OF-WAY SUMMERSTART FESTIVAL WHEREAS, SummerStart, a community festival, will be held on public streets beg'uuiing Friday, May 28, 2004, and continuing through Monday, May 31, 2004; and, WHEREAS, it is the intention of SummerStart to offer beer and wine cooler beverages and wine coolers for sale to its patrons for consuxnption at the Festival; and, WHEREAS, such consumption of alcoholic liquor on public rights-of-way requires the express approval of the City Council; and, WHEREAS, the Council finds that it would be in the best interest of SummerStart and of the City of Decatur that such consumption of alcoholic liquor as descnbed be permitted for said limited time period. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DECATUR, ILLINOIS: Section 1. That on the days listed herein, and only on such days, between the hours listed opposite each, beer and wine coolers may be consumed at, in or on those portions of public right-of-way described in Section 2 hereof, said days and hours being particularly descnbed as follows: Friday, May 28, 2004 6:00 P.M. to 10:30 P.M. Saturday, May 29, 2004 10:00 A.M. to 10:30 P.M. Sunday, May 30, 2004 12:00 P.M. (Noon)to 10:30 P.M. Monday, May 31, 2004 10:00 A.M. to 6:00 P.M.
