• . � y • }'� � � le ^ nn l� n II <br /> c <br /> . . . . �.J���%�� <br /> ��w�F�ed For ��� <br />, 12:30 PM <br /> �� <br /> ��� 5► � �Q� .. . <br /> � <br /> RR6orded in Boo�,�r �'a��M,�.?,� <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 2002-01 �a� 25.� oo �n D�'Rocorde� <br /> ORDINANCE VACATING PORTION OF STREETS <br /> -2200 BLOCK NORTH UNION STREET - <br /> -300 -500 BLOCKS WEST HAY STREET - <br /> WHEREAS, a request has been received from Decatur Memorial Health Foundation <br /> requesting the vacation by the City Council of a portion of North Union Street and West Hay <br /> Street,being more particularly described as follows: <br /> The West Hay Street right-of-way between the East right-of-way <br /> line of North Monroe Street and the West right-of-way line of <br /> North Union Street; and � <br /> The North Union Street right-of-way between the South <br /> right-of-way line of West Hay Street extended East and the North <br /> right-of-way line of Kenwood Avenue extended West. <br /> WHEREAS, said portion of said streets are no longer useful to the public or to the City; <br /> and, <br /> WHEREAS, the public interest will be subserved by vacating said portion of said streets <br /> and the public will be relieved from the further burden and responsibility of maintaining the <br /> same. <br /> NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br /> DECATUR, ILLINOIS: <br /> Section 1. That the above described portion of said streets be, and the same are hereby, <br /> vacated as public streets inasmuch as the same is no longer required for public use and the public <br /> interest will be subserved by such vacation, said portion of said streets being shown on the plat <br /> thereof hereto attached and hereby made a part hereof. <br />
