1: <br /> ��M I <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 2000-53 <br /> ORDINANCE AMENDING CITY CODE <br /> - CHAPTER 52 - <br /> -ALCOHOLIC LIQUOR- <br /> BE IT ORDAINED, BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DECATUR, <br /> ILLINOIS: <br /> Section 1. That Section 31 of Chapter 52 of the City Code of the City of Decatur, Illinois, <br /> be, and the same is hereby, modified and amended, so that said Section 31, as so modified and <br /> amended, shall provide as follows: <br /> 31. EMPLOYMENT OF MINORS. No person under the age of 21 <br /> years shall tend bar or tend a package counter or window, or sell, draw, pour, mix <br /> or serve alcoholic liquor and no licensee or any officer, associate, member, <br /> representative, agent or employee of a licensee shall engage, employ or permit any <br /> person under the age of 21 years so to do; provided that, persons nineteen (19) <br /> years of age and over who have completed the Beverage Alcohol Sellers and <br /> Servers Education and Training (BASSET) program approved by the Educational <br /> Foundation of the National Restaurant Association may serve alcoholic beverages <br /> to patrons who are dining at the licensed premises if the service of such beverages <br /> is only incidental to their primary job function of serving food. <br />
