<br /> ORDINANCE AMENDING CITY CODE
<br /> - CHAPTER 7 - OFFICERS AND EMPLOYEES GENERALLY -
<br /> BE IT ORDAINED, BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DECATUR,
<br /> ILLINOIS:
<br /> Section 1. T'hat Section 2 of Chapter 7 of the City Code of the City of Decatur, Illinois,
<br /> be, and the same is hereby, modified and amended, so that said Section 2, as so modified and
<br /> amended, shall provide as follows:
<br /> 2. APPOINTMENT AND REMOVAL. The City Manager shall have the
<br /> power and authority to appoint and remove at will the Deputy City Manager,
<br /> Assistant City Managers, all directors of departments, fire marshals, battalion
<br /> chiefs, police personnel above the rank of sergeant, division managers,
<br /> administrative secretaries, members of the Legal Department, Personnel
<br /> Specialists, Training Officer, Human Relations Specialists, Systems
<br /> Administrator, Senior Systems Analyst, Systems Analyst, Risk Management
<br /> Assistant, Street and Sewer Maintenance Supervisor, Assistant City Engineer,
<br /> Civil Engineer I, Civil Engineer II, Fleet Supervisor, Water Production Operations
<br /> Supervisor, Water Production Maintenance Supervisor, Engineering Technician
<br /> Supervisor, CAD System Coordinator, Lake Manager, Water Distribution
<br /> Supervisor, Traffic and Parking Supervisor, City Forester, Foreman, Economic
<br /> Development Coordinator, Building Inspections Manager, Planners, Pla.nning
<br /> Manager, Transportation Planner, Environmental Programs Specialist,
<br /> Neighborhood Planner, Senior Crime Analyst, Crime Analyst, Emergency
<br /> Communications Supervisors, Neighborhood Renewal Administrator,
<br /> Neighborhood Standards Administrator, Neighborhood Program Specialist, and
<br /> Temporary and seasonal employees.
