� * , ' <br /> • <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 2000-32 <br /> ORDINANCE AMENDING CITY CODE <br /> -CHAPTER 66- <br /> -REGULATION OF LAKE DECATUR- <br /> BE IT ORDAINED, BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DECATUR, ILLINOIS: <br /> Section 1. That Sections 17(s) and 22E of Chapter 66 of the City Code of the City of <br /> Decatur, Illinois, be, and the same is hereby, modified and amended, so that said Sections 17(s) <br /> and 22E, as so modified and amended, shall provide as follows: <br /> 17. BOATING REGULATIONS. <br /> (s) All boats shall be subject to a no wake speed limit between the hours of 10:00 <br /> P.M. and sunrise, provided that this section shall not apply to official patrol or rescue <br /> craft. <br /> 22. PERSONAL FLOTATION DEVICES. <br /> E. No person may operate a personal watercraft or specialty prop-craft unless each <br /> person aboard is wearing a Type I, Type II, Type III or Type V personal flotation device <br /> approved by the United States Coast Guard. No person may operate a watercraft unless a <br /> Type I, Type II, Type III or Type V personal flotation device is being properly worn by <br /> each person under the age of 13 on board the watercraft at all times in which the <br /> watercraft is underway; however, this requirement shall not apply to persons who are <br /> below decks in totally enclosed cabin spaces. <br /> Section 2. That this ordinance shall take effect and be in full force on May 10, 2000. <br />
