, � <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 98-55 <br /> ORDINANCE AMENDING CITY CODE <br /> - CHAPTER 64 - <br /> - WATER SERVICE - <br /> BE IT ORDAINED, BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DECATUR, <br /> ILLINOIS: <br /> Section 1. That Chapter 64 of the City Code of the City of Decatur be, and the same is <br /> hereby, amended and modified at Sections 9 and 10 thereof, so that said Sections 9 and 10, as <br /> amended, shall provide as follows: <br /> 9. CLASSIFICATION OF WATER SERVICES. Water services from the <br /> water system of the City are hereby classified as domestic quarterly services, do- <br /> mestic monthly services, non-domestic quarterly services, non-domestic monthly <br /> services, and large user monthly services . The term "monthly" as used in this <br /> Chapter, unless some other meaning is clearly intended from the context in which <br /> the same is used,means a period of twenty-eight, twenty-nine, thirty, or thirty-one <br /> days, as the case may be, whether the same commences or ends on the first day of <br /> a calendar month or otherwise. <br /> The term "quarterly" as used in this Chapter, unless some other meaning is <br /> clearly intended from the context in which the same is used, means a period of <br /> days approximating the number of days which equals one quarter of a year and <br /> without regard to the day of the calendar month or day of the calendar year upon <br /> which such period of time commences. Water services from said system to a sin- <br /> gle family residence or a two-family residence are domestic services, and water <br /> services to which more than one million(1,000,000) gallons per day are furnished, <br /> averaged over the one year period immediately preceding the effective billing <br /> date, are large user services; except as otherwise provided herein, all other serv- <br /> ices are non-domestic services.
