.� �� <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 97-63 <br /> ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING CONSUMPTION OF <br /> ALCOHOLIC LIQUOR IN CENTRAL PARK AND ON PUBLIC RIGHT-OF-WAY <br /> DOWNTOWN DECATUR COUNCIL <br /> WHEREAS, the Downtown Decatur Council has planned its annual "Cruisin' <br /> Downtown" event scheduled for Thursday, July 17, 1997; and, <br /> WHEREAS, it is the intention of the Downtown Decatur Council to offer beer and wine <br /> for sale to its patrons for consumption at this event; and, <br /> WHEREAS, such consumption of alcoholic liquor in Central Park requires the express <br /> approval of the City Council; and, <br /> WHEREAS, the Council finds that it would be in the best interest of the Downtown <br /> Decatur Council and of the City of Decatur that such consumption of alcoholic liquor as <br /> described be permitted for said limited time period. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br /> OF DECATUR, ILLINOIS: <br /> Section 1. That on the day listed herein, and only on such day, between the hours listed, <br /> only those alcoholic beverages listed below may be consumed in Central Park located in <br /> downtown Decatur, said day and hours being particularly described as follows: _ <br /> Thursday, July 17, 1997 4:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. Beer and Wine Only <br />
