Rathje and Eugene R. Roberts <br /> requesting vacation by the City Council of an easement and a portion of Knollwood Court, said <br /> easement and portion of street being more particularly described as follows: <br /> Tiic I`�c,:t; 3C� feet oi L�+ i of�?1_�ck � of Snitler �ieights Aaaition <br /> as per Plat recorded in Book 802 Page 113 of the records in the <br /> Recorder's Office of Macon County, Illinois, AND also beginning at <br /> the southeast corner of Lot 1 of Block 1 of said Addition, thence <br /> South 30 feet to the Northeast corner of Lot 1 of Block 3 of said <br /> Addition; thence West to the northwest corner of Lot 1 of Block 3 <br /> of said Addition; thence North 30 feet to the southwest corner of <br /> Lot 2 of Block 1 of said Addition; thence East to the place of <br /> beginning. <br /> WHEREAS, said easement and portion of street are no longer useful to the public or to <br /> the City; and, <br /> WI�REAS, the public interest will be subserved by vacating said easement and portion of <br /> street and the public will be relieved from any further burden or responsibility for maintaining said <br /> portion of said street. <br /> N�`vV, ir�i�cFO�, BE �T �?�A�D, BY THE CITY COIJNCII. OF THE CITY <br /> OF DECATUR, II,LINOIS: <br /> Section 1. That the above described easement and portion of street be, and the same are <br /> hereby, vacated as an easement and as a public street inasmuch as the same are no longer <br /> required for public use and the public interest will be subserved by such vacation, said easement <br /> and portion of street being shown on the plat thereof hereto attached and hereby made a part <br /> hereof. <br /> Section 2. That there is hereby reserved in, over, along and under the above-described <br /> portion of said street to the City of Decatur, Illinois, and to the public and to those utilities and <br /> companies as the case may be owning public service facilities, mains, sewers, telephone and <br />
