+� . <br /> ORDINANCE N0. o - O I <br /> ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 87-02 <br /> - CITY TREE BOARD - <br /> BE IT ORDAINED, BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br /> DECATUR, ILLINOIS: <br /> Section 1 . That Ordinance No. 87-02 passed by the City <br /> Council of the City of Decatur, Illinois, on January 5, 1987 <br /> be, and the same is hereby, amended at Section 3 thereof so <br /> that said Section 3 as so amended shall provide as follows: <br /> Section 3 . It shall be the purpose of the <br /> Board to promote the care and preservation of <br /> trees, shrubs, and ground covers. It shall be the <br /> responsibility of the Board to develop plans and <br /> policies for the care and preservation of trees, <br /> shrubs and ground covers along streets and other <br /> public areas under the jurisdiction of the City of <br /> Decatur and to work with other ageneies, public <br /> and private, and residents in and around Decatur <br /> on means to increase the urban forest. The Board, <br /> when requested by the City Council, shall study <br /> and make recommendations upon any special matter <br /> or question concerning the urban forest. <br /> Section 2 . That all ordinances and provisions of <br /> ordinance in conflict with the provisions hereof, to the <br /> extent of said conflict, be, and the same are hereby, <br /> repealed, otherwise to remain in full force and effect. <br /> PRESENTED, PASSED, APPROVED AND RECORDED this 31st day <br /> of August, 1992. <br /> t�/ <br /> ERIK C.
