AN ORDINANCE DESIGNATING A HISTORIC DISTRICT - NEAR WEST SIDE - WHEREAS, on the 15th day of February, 1990, upon due notice, the Decatur Historical and Architectural Sites Commission held a public hearing upon the petition of James Williams to designate as a Historic District, under the provisions of Chapter 31 of the City Code of the City of Decatur, premises described as shown on Exhibit A attached hereto and hereby made a part hereof; and, WHEREAS, the Decatur Historical and Architectural Sites Commission recommended that the prayer of sai3 petition be granted; and, WHEREAS, all owners of record of said premises Y�.ave been notified in accordance with the provisions of sai3 Chapter 31. ' IdOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL QF THE CITY OF DECATJR, ILLINOIS: Section 1. That the recommendation of the Decatur Historical and Architectural Sites Commission be, ar.d the same is hereby, received, placed on file an� approved. i L L . Section 2. Tha� the Council hereby expressly finds =hat the above-described premises has integrity of design and meets �hz criteria established in Sections 4 (a) , �c) , (d) , (g) and (i) of said Chapter 31. Section 3 . '"hat said described premises be, and the same is hereby, �lesignated a iiistoric District and is hereby made sub;ect to all restrictions, limitations and controls applicable thereto under the provisions of said Chapter 31 . Sec�ion 4. That the Director of Community Development be, and he is hereby, directed to send, by regular mail, a certitied copy of this ordinance to all owners of property ir.cluded in the premises described herein. , Section 5.
