ORDINANCE N0. � � - �� <br /> ORDINANCE ABATING LEVY Ii <br /> GENERAL OBLIGATION BONDS I <br /> SERIES OF DECEMBER, 1987 � <br /> WHEREAS, by Ordinance No. 87-137 passed and approved December 7, 1987, <br /> the Council caused general obligation bonds of the City to be issued and did I <br /> levy therein certain sums to pay the principal of and interest on said bonds; <br /> and, <br /> WHEREAS, funds other than tnose raised by general taxation have or will <br /> become available to timely pay such principal and interest as the same become <br /> due in 1990 and 1991. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COliNCIL OF THE CITY OF DECAiUR, <br /> ILLINOIS: <br /> Section 1. That the levy for the year 1989 imposed by the provisions of <br /> Ordinance No. 87-137 in the amount of $314,500 be, and the same is hereby, <br /> abated. <br /> Section 2. That the County Clerk of the County of Macon, Illinois, be <br /> and he is hereby, directed to refrain from extending said Zevy for said year. <br /> Section 3. That the City Treasurer be, and she is hereby, authorized <br /> and directed to timely pay said principal and interest from other funds of the <br /> City in the amount aforesaid which said funds are hereby appropriated for said <br /> purpose. <br /> Section 4.
