� � 'r v .�.. - �,�ROF1tM� ORDINANCE NO. � � � AN ORDINANCE �VNEXING TERRITORY '"O THE CITY OF DECATliR, ILLINOIS �n7HEREAS , there has be�n filed with �he City Clerk of the City of Decatur, Illinois , the sworn petition of Wayne Orrell and Haze1 Orrell requesting that premises described as : Beginning at the Southwest corner of the East Half of the Southwest Quarter of the Southwest Quarter of Section Twenty-seven (27) , Township Seventeen (17) North, Range Two (2) East of the 3rd P .M. ; thence east 75 feet; thence North 325 feet; thence west 75 feet; thence sauth 325 feet to the place of beginning , situated in �lacon County , Illinois , be annexed to the City of Decatur, Il.linois ; and, WHEREAS , it is shown by affidavit that said petition is signed by all of the owners of record of said oremises and by all of the electors residing therein; and, WHEREAS , said territory is contiguous to the City of Decatur, Illinois, and is not a part of any City, Village , Incorporate3 Town, or other Municipality; and, - WHEREAS , notice of intention to take action on annexation of said territory has been given as provided by statute . NOW, THEREFORE , BE IT ORDAINED BY TIiE COL�NCIL OF THE CITY OF DECATUR, ILLINOIS : Section 1. That the said territory hereinabove described, along with aii garts of public highways therein or r.ext ar.d adjacent there to not heretofor� annexed, if ar.y , be and the same are hereby , ar,nexed to and are incorporated ir.to the 1imi�s of the City of Decatur, Illinois , a mur.icipal corporation. Section 2 . That a plat of said annexed premises is attached hereto and made a part hereof. Section 3 . That the City Clerk cause certified copies of this ordinance to be respectively filed with the County Clerk and recorded by the Recerder of Deeds of Macon County , Illinois .
