AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING TERRITORY TO THE CITY OF DECATUR, ILLINOIS WHEREAS , there has been filed with the City Clerk of the City of Decatur, Illinois, the sworn petition of The Millikin National Bank of Decatur as Trustee Under Trust No. 2661 et al requesting that premises described as : Part of the West Half of the Northwest Quarter of Section 3, Township 16 North, Range 2 East of the Third P .M. , P�acon County, Illinois, said tracts being more particularly described as follows : Commencing 6. 43 chains West of the Southeast Corner of the Southwest Quarter of the Northwest Quarter of Se�tion 3, Thence North 7. 77 3/4 chains; thence West 6 . 43 chains ; thence Sauth 7 . 77 3/4 chains; thence West 6 . 43 chains to the place of beginning; and, Beginning at the Southeast corner of the Southwest Quarter of the Northwest Quarter of said Section 3, running thence North for 1522 .56 feet; thence West for 660 . 00 feet; thence South for 299 . 64 feet; thence West for 189 . 42 feet; thence South for 709 . 35 feet; thence East for 424 . 75 feet; thence South for 192 . 75 feet; thence East for 150 . 00 feet; thence South for 320. 40 feet; thence East for 270 . 80 feet to the point of beginning, containing 22. 357 acres , more or less, be annexed to the City of Decatur, Illinois; and, WHEREAS , it is shown by affidavi� that said petiticn is signed by all of the owners of record of said premises and that there are no electors residing therein; and, - WHEREAS, said territory is contiguous to the City of Decatur, Illinois, and is not a part of any City, Village, Inco�porated Town, or other municipality; and, WHEREAS, notice of intention to take action on annexation of said territory has been given as provided by statute. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COtJI�?CIL OF THE CITY OF DECATUR, ILLINOIS:
