ORDINANCE NO. —� � AN ORDINANCE TRANSFERRING SPECIFIED FLTIaTDS RENIAIN�NG AS REBATES F�R SPECIAL ASSESSMENT INTO THE UNCLAIMED REBATE FUND OF THE CITY OF DECATUR, ILLINOIS BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE C�TY OF DECATUR, ILLINOIS: SECTION l: That in aecordance with the recommendation of the Boar.d of Local Improvements of the City of Decatur, Illinois, the ft�nds remaining undistributed as rebates or refunds on certain 5pecial assessments, which 5aid funds are now in the possession of th:e Ci:ty Treasurer o� the City of Dec atur, I1linois, as specified i.n the Certifa.cate of the Board of Local Improvements transmitted to the. City Council, be and the same are T�ereby set aside and trans-� ferred into the Unclaimed Rebate Fund of the City of Decaturr Illinoi.s. SECTION 2 : That the funds so transferred, the assessments from which said funds are transferred, and the warrant numbers, are as shown on the attached list marked Exhibit 1 and made a part hereof by reference. SECTION 3 : That from and after th_e date of this Ordinance, aIl interest in and to said funds , and all rights and ti.tle thereto of all claimants who have failed to execute and file a claim prior to the date of this Ordinance, i.s hereby forfei:ted and barred, and al.l of said funds shall be the excl,usive property of th.e City of Decatur, Illinois. SECTION 4: That the City Council shall hereafter by appro- priate Ordinance provide for the payment from the Unclaimed Rebate Eund of all valid claims filed prior to the adoption of this Ordinance, and also for the payment of all nec�ssary costs and legal expenses � herein.
