t , • � - . �11CROFlLMEp ORDINANCE NO._ �� (O AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING TERRITORY TO THE CITY OF DECATUR, ILLINOIS WHEREAS, there has been filed with the City Clerk of the City of Decatur, Illinois, the sworn petition of Noel Phillip Edwards and Rosemarie Louise Edwards requesting that premises described as : The North Six Hundred and forty-five (645) feet of the Northeast Quarter (NEa) of the Northwest Quarter (NW;) of Section Twenty-seven (27) , Township Seventeen (17) North, Range Two (2) East of the Third Principal Meridian, situated in Macon County, Illinois be annexed to the City of Decatur, Illinois; and, WHEREAS, it is shown by affidavit that said petition is signed by all of the owners of record of said premises and by all of the electors residing therein; and, WHEREAS , said territory is contiguous to the City of Decatur, Illinois , and is not a part of any City, Village, Incorporated Town, or other Municipality; and, WHEREAS , notice of intention to take action on annexation of said territory has been given as provided by statute. NOW, THEREFORE , BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DECATUR, ILLINOIS : Section l. That the said territory hereinabove described, along with all parts of public highways therein or next and adjacent thereto not heretofore annexed, if any, be, and the same are hereby, annexed to and are incorporated into the limits of the City of Decatur, Illinois, a municipal corporation. Section 2 . That a plat of said annexed premises is attached hereto and made a part hereof. Section 3. That the City Clerk cause certified copies of this ordinance to be respectively filed with the County Clerk and recorded by the Recorder of Deeds of Macon County, Illinois.
