' �a <br /> F' � <br /> • � <br /> t. � <br /> n-�' , _ <br /> ORDINANCE NO. �-� ��==�--- <br /> AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING SALE OF LAND <br /> WI-�REAS, the City of Decatur, Illinois, is the owner of <br /> certain premises located in the City of Decatur, Illinois, on the <br /> east and west sides of South Broadway Street, a short distance <br /> south of East Cantrell Street, �ich premises were acquired in <br /> connection with the construction of the improved South Broad way <br /> Street and w�ich said premises are more particularly described <br /> as: <br /> The North 135 feet, except the West 100 feet of <br /> the South 20 feet of said North 135 feet of Lot <br /> Four (4) of Sangamon Addition to Decatur, as per <br /> Plat recorded in Book 2, page 656 in the Records <br /> in the Recorder 's Office of Macon County, Illinois; <br /> also Lots One (1), Two (2) and Three (3) of E. <br /> Harpstrite 's Subdivision of Lot Ten (10) in Section <br /> 23, Township 16 North, Range 2 East of the 3rd P.M. , <br /> as per Plat recorded in Book 149, page 9 of the Re- <br /> cozds in the Recorder 's Office of Macon County, <br /> Illinois; <br /> a nd <br /> WHEREAS, in the opinion of the Council said real estate <br /> is no longer necessary, appropriate, required for the use of, <br /> profitable to or for the best interests of the City; and <br /> WHEREAS, it is for the best interests of the City that <br /> said premises be sold. <br /> NOW THEREFORfi, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br /> OF DECATUR, ILLINOIS: <br /> Section 1. That the right, title and interest of the <br /> City in and to the real estate aforesaid be sold for cash in the <br /> manner provided by law. <br /> Section 2. That sea led bids for the sa le of sa id rea 1 <br /> estate be received by the City Clerk until the hour of 7:30 o'clock <br /> P.M. , Monday, July 26t�, 1971, and that said bids be opened at the <br /> regular meeting of the Council on said day. <br />
