' {• ` , / , v ORD I NANCE NO. -��0 AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING TERRITORY TC THE CITY OF DECATUR, ILLINOIS WHEREAS, there has been filed with the City Clerk of the City of Decatur, Illinois, the sworn petition of W. E. BOLAY, SR. ANn OTIiERS requesting that premises described as: Beginning 523.82 ft. N. and 89.61 ft. W. of the S.E. corner of the S.E. 4 of the S.W. 4 of Sec. 21, Township 16 N. , Range 2 E. of the 3rd P.M. , thence N. 355.50 ft. to the S. right of way line of the public highway kno�nm as State Route 48, thence S.W. along and upon the s. � right of way line of said public high��*�y 132.75 ft. , thence S, 279.78 ft. , thence E. 108 ft. to the place of beginning; be annexed to the City of Decatur, Illinois; and WHEREAS, it is shown by affidavit that said petition is signed by all of the owners of record of premises in said above described property and by all of the electors residing therein; and V�MEREAS, said territory is contiguous to the City of Decatur, Illinois, and is not a part ot any city, village, incor- porated town or other municipality; and WI-�REAS, notice of intention to take action on annexa- tion of said territory has been given as provided by Statute. NOW THEREFORE� BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DECATUR, ILLINOIS: Section 1. That the said territory hereinabov� de- scribed be, and the same is he reby, annexed to a� d is hereby in- corporated into the limits of the City of Decatur, Illinois, a municipal corporation. Section 2. That a plat of said annexed premises is attached Yaereto ard made a part hereof. Section 3. That the City Clerk cause certified copies of this ordinance to be respectively filed with the County Clerk and recorded by the Recorder of Deeds of Macon County, Illinois.
