RESOLUTION NO. R2017- 117 <br /> RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE <br /> INSURANCE COVERAGE FOR PROPERTY,LIABILITY AND <br /> WORKERS COMPENSATION FOR THE <br /> CITY OF DECATUR, ILLINOIS <br /> FOR THE POLICY PERIOD OCTOBER 1,2017 TO OCTOBER 1,2018 <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Decatur current insurance coverage contract shall <br /> expire September 30, 2017, and, <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Decatur is in need of insurance covering property, <br /> liability, and workers-compensation for the period October 1, 2017 through October 1, <br /> 2018; and <br /> WHEREAS, Arthur J. Gallagher Risk Management Services, Inc. has secured <br /> quotes on the City's behalf for insurance covering property, liability, and workers <br /> compensation for the period October 1, 2017 through October 1, 2018; and, <br /> WHEREAS, AIX Specialty Insurance Company (Hanover Insurance <br /> Companies) has submitted a quote to provide property, general liability, automobile <br /> liability, law enforcement liability, errors and omissions, employee benefits liability, in <br /> the amount of$255,514.00; and, <br /> WHEREAS, Travelers Indemnity Company (The Travelers Companies, Inc.) <br /> has submitted a quote to supply excess property insurance in the amount of$71,000.00; <br /> and, <br /> WHEREAS, Liberty Mutual Insurance Company has submitted a quote to <br /> supply excess workers-compensation insurance in the amount of$652,429.00; and, <br /> BE IT THEREFORE RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br /> OF DECATUR, ILLINOIS: <br /> Section 1. That the quote of AIX Specialty Insurance Company (Hanover <br /> Insurance Companies) to supply property, general liability, automobile liability, law <br /> enforcement liability, errors and omissions, employee benefits liability, in the amount of <br /> $255,514.00 to the City of Decatur be, and the same is hereby, accepted and approved. <br />
