Marley, P.E.,Public Works Director <br /> SUBJECT: Resolution Authorizing a Change Order to the Agreement with AECOM <br /> Technical Services,Inc. to Assist the City with Administrative Consent <br /> Order from United States Environmental Protection Agency <br /> City Project 2013-01 <br /> SUMMARY RECOMMENDATION: <br /> It is recommended that the City Council approve the Resolution Authorizing Change Order to <br /> the Agreement between the City of Decatur and AECOM Technical Services, Inc. to assist the <br /> City with preparing the sewer system reports and tasks required by the Administrative Consent <br /> Order. Change Order adds $173,000 to the existing$456,620 Agreement for a total fee of <br /> $629,620 <br /> PRIOR COUNCIL ACTION: <br /> See Appendix A. <br /> SANITARY SEWER PRIORITIES: <br /> See Appendix A. <br /> BACKGROUND: <br /> See Appendix A. <br /> PROFESSIONAL SERVICES AGREEMENT: <br /> The City advertised for proposals from engineering firms to assist the City's with the USEPA <br /> Administrative Consent Order(ACO). Ten responses were received, four were interview and <br /> AECOM Technical Services was selected as the firm that would be best able to assist the City <br /> with the ACO. AECOM is a respected worldwide firm with a local office in Decatur. <br /> AECOM's scope of services addressed following: <br /> 1. ACO project management and compliance tracking <br /> 2. Sanitary Sewer Master Plan review <br /> 3. Preparation of a sanitary sewer overflow and private property basement backup protocol. <br />
