2. Paving the side street approaches. <br /> 3. Traffic signal improvements at City intersections with the State Highway. The cost for traffic <br /> signal work was allocated according to the portion of the intersection owned by the City. <br /> The project was completed in 2015. <br /> City-State Agreement <br /> The 2014 City- State Agreement included a requirement that the City pass a resolution appropriating <br /> sufficient funds for the project. At that time,the City's portion of the project cost was estimated at <br /> $105,029 and included a provision to provide the additional funds necessary to cover the actual costs. <br /> The City Council allocated $120,000 in Motor Fuel Tax funds to pay the City's share of the project <br /> costs. The final invoice from the State set the final City responsibility at$128,185.30, which requires <br /> the authorization of an additional $8,185.30 in MFT funds. <br /> SCHEDULE: The project was completed in 2015,the final invoice from that State was received in <br /> September, 2017. <br /> POTENTIAL OBJECTION: None <br /> INPUT FROM OTHER SOURCES: Illinois Department of Transportation <br /> STAFF REFERENCE: Richard Marley, Public Works Director and Matt Newell, City Engineer. <br /> Richard Marley will be in attendance at the City Council meeting to answer any questions of the <br /> Council on this item. <br /> BUDGET/TIME IMPLICATIONS: <br /> Budget Impact: Funding is available in the Motor Fuel Tax Fund. The agreement is for$105,029 <br /> with provision that the Council will appropriate additional funds if needed to cover the City's portion <br /> of the project. The original Moto Fuel Tax Resolution was for$120,000.
