The cost for traffic signal work was allocated according to the portion of the intersection owned by the City. The project was completed in 2015. City-State Agreement The 2014 City- State Agreement included a requirement that the City pass a resolution appropriating sufficient funds for the project. At that time,the City's portion of the project cost was estimated at $105,029 and included a provision to provide the additional funds necessary to cover the actual costs. The City Council allocated $120,000 in Motor Fuel Tax funds to pay the City's share of the project costs. The final invoice from the State set the final City responsibility at$128,185.30, which requires the authorization of an additional $8,185.30 in MFT funds. SCHEDULE: The project was completed in 2015,the final invoice from that State was received in September, 2017. POTENTIAL OBJECTION: None INPUT FROM OTHER SOURCES: Illinois Department of Transportation STAFF REFERENCE: Richard Marley, Public Works Director and Matt Newell, City Engineer. Richard Marley will be in attendance at the City Council meeting to answer any questions of the Council on this item. BUDGET/TIME IMPLICATIONS: Budget Impact: Funding is available in the Motor Fuel Tax Fund. The agreement is for$105,029 with provision that the Council will appropriate additional funds if needed to cover the City's portion of the project. The original Moto Fuel Tax Resolution was for$120,000. An additional $8,185.30 is proposed to be approved bringing the total MFT authorization to $128,185.30.
