CITY COUNCIL MEMORANDUM <br /> NO. 2017-18 <br /> TO: Mayor Moore Wolfe <br /> City Council <br /> FROM: Tim Gleason, City Manager <br /> Wendy Morthland, Corporation Counsel <br /> DATE: December 18, 2017 <br /> SUBJECT: Sexual Harassment Prohibition <br /> SUMMARY RECOMMENDATION: On the Agenda is a Resolution formally adopting the <br /> Administrative Policy the City has had for many years regarding the prohibition of sexual <br /> harassment and the rights and remedies available to those who believe there is a violation of <br /> such. The Illinois General Assembly has recently enacted their own sexual harassment <br /> prohibition legislation and included in that legislation a requirement that units of local <br /> government adopt a resolution by January 16, 2018 establishing a policy prohibiting sexual <br /> harassment.
