• Historical Impact on the City; <br /> Leslie Allen was Decatur's longest City Manager 16 years to be <br /> exact. The impact he had on this city and the people that call <br /> this home'was unbelievable. When he started in the position <br /> Decatur had no federal funding. He immediately started working <br /> I with the city council and within a year they had approved and <br /> implemented a plan for federal funding. My grandfather also had <br /> major concerns about flooding and drainage issues our city was <br /> having and he was able to get a comprehensive drainage <br /> program in place. He was always visiting our local industries <br /> and trying to make a difference as well. <br /> I <br />
