4. That there shall be no connection, directly or indirectly, to the Village system or any <br /> connection of any service connected to the Village system to any source of water other than that <br /> supplied by the City or the Village or an Illinois Environmental Protection Agency authorized potable <br /> water cooperative that the Village may become a member of. <br /> 5. That no connection to the Village system for a water service or otherwise shall be made <br /> except by a plumber licensed by the State of Illinois or by an employee of the Village. <br /> 6. That the Village shall not furnish water service through its system to any premises unless <br /> said premises are served by and connected with a properly installed and operating sanitary waste <br /> disposal facility which may include a properly operating and installed septic tank system conforming <br /> with the specifications, standards and regulations of the State of Illinois regarding such systems. <br /> 7. That during the term of this Agreement the City shall furnish to the Village treated and <br /> potable water from the water works system of the City, the delivery point to be agreed upon by the <br /> Village and the City. The Village shall be responsible for all expenses for connection to the City <br /> water system and connection maintenance. In order to protect the City's water supply, the Village <br /> shall install backflow prevention at the City-Village delivery point by December 31, 2020 or prior to <br /> the Village consuming water from a potable water cooperative, whichever occurs first. Plans and <br /> specifications for such connection and backflow prevention shall be pre-approved by the City <br /> Director of Public Works. The quantity of water to be so furnished shall be limited to not to exceed <br /> an average of 150,000 gallons per day; provided that, no water shall be furnished under the <br /> provisions hereof for more than 182 consecutive days per calendar year without the written consent <br /> of the City Manager. The Village shall notify the City's Water Production Office by telephone (424- <br /> 2831) no later than one (1) hour after any potable water treated by the City is placed into the <br /> Village's distribution system, and shall briefly explain such placement and use at such time. <br /> 2 <br />
