SECTIQN IIL CITY'S RESPt)NSIBILITIES <br /> The City shall, <br /> A. FLTRNISH REQUIREMENTS AND LIMITATIONS. Provide all criteria and full informatian as <br /> to the City's requirements for the Praject,including design objectives and constraints,space,capacity <br /> and perfarmance requirements,flexibility and expandability,econamic paratneters and any budgetary <br /> Iimitatians; and furnish copies of all design and construction standards which the City will require to <br /> be incIuded in the Drawings and Specifications. <br /> B. FURNISH iNFORMATI01�. Assist the eansulting Engineer by placing at the Consulting <br /> Engineer"s disposal all available information pertinent to the Project including previous reports and <br /> any ather data relative to design or consirc2ction af the Project. <br /> C. FURNISH TECHNTCAL INFCIRMATION. Furnish to the Consulting Engineer,as required for <br /> performance of the Consulting Engineer's Basic Services{except to the extent provided otherwise in <br /> Exhibit A, "Scape of Work"),data prepared by ar services of others,incl�iding without limitation, <br /> core borings, probings and subsucface explarations,hydrographic surveys,laboratory tests and <br /> inspections of sarnples, materials and equipment; appropriate professional interpretatians of all of the <br /> foregoing;environmental assessment and innpact statements;property,boundary,easement,right-af- <br /> way,tapographic and utility sarveys;property descriptians; zoning,deed and other land use <br /> restrictian; all of which the Consulting Engineer may reIy upon in perfarming the CansuIting <br /> Engineer's services. <br /> D. SURVEYS AND REFERENCE PQINTS. Provide field cantrol surveys and estab2ish reference <br /> points and base lines except to the extent provided otherwise in Sectian II to enable the Contractor{s} <br /> to proceed with the layout of the wark. <br /> E. ACCESS TO PROPERT�i'. Arrange for access to and make all provisions for the Consulting <br /> Engineer to enter upan public and private property as required for the Consulting Engineer to perform <br /> the ConsuIting Engineer's services. <br /> F. REVIEW DOCUMENTS. Examine all studies,reports, sketches,drawings, specificatians, <br /> progosals and other documents presented by the Ct�nsulting Engineer,obtain advice af an attorney, <br /> insurance counselor and other canst�ltants as the City's Representative deems appropriate for such <br /> examination and render in writing decisions pertaining thereta within a reasonable time sa as nat to <br /> delay the services of khe Consulting Engineer. <br /> G. OBTAIN APPROVALS AND PERMITS. Furnish approvals and permits frorn all governrnental <br /> aathorities having jurisdictian over the Froject and such approvals and consents from others as may <br /> be necessary for completion of the Project. <br /> H. ACC4UNTING LBGAL AND INSURANCE SERVICE. Provide such accounting, <br /> independent cost estimating and insurance caunseling services as may be required far the Project, <br /> such legal services as the City's Regresentative may require or the Consulting Engineer may <br /> reasonably request with regard to legal issues pertaining tt�the Project including any thac nnay be <br /> raised by the Cantractor(s),such auditing service as the City's Representative may require to <br /> ascertain how or for what purpose any Contractor has used the moneys paid to hitn under the <br /> consiruction corrtract,and such inspection services as the City's Representative may require to <br /> ascertain that the Contractor(s)are cornplying with any law, rule or regulation applicable to their <br /> perforrnance of the wark except as otl�erwise provided in Section II. <br /> Last Revised:0512112fl28 <br />
