SUMMARY RECOMMENDATION: It is recommended tl�at City Council approve the attached Resolution authorizing the execution of an Agreement between Steve's Trucking,Inc. and the City of Decatur,Illinois for$123,500 far the demolition of the Library Annex located at 444 East Main Street. The contractor provided evidence of having made a good faith effort to meet the City's MBE goal as part of the bid.Asbestos removal represents the only portion of this work to be subcontracted and the contractar provided evidence of having made a good faith effort to meet the city's MBE goal as part of the bid,having originally made documented contacts with several MBE fim�s. The contractor was not able to secure an MBE firm to perform the work as the bids from the minority fim�s were lugher than the company selected. POTENTIAL OBJECTIONS: No known objections to this resolution request.
