Perry, Purchasing Supervisor <br /> SUBJECT: Resolution Accepting the Bid of Bob Ridings Inc., for the Purchase of One(1) <br /> 2019 Dodge Pickup Truck. <br /> SUMMARY RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends awarding a contract in the amount of <br /> $ 26,945.00 to Bob Ridings, Inc. For one (1) 2019 Dodge pickup truck. <br /> BACKGROUND: The City of Decatur Public Works,Fire Department has requested one(1)new <br /> vehicle to replace one(1) 2008 Chevrolet van with 94,881 miles. <br /> This unit is being replace due to its age and/or condition. The normal life expectancy is ten (10) <br /> years. <br /> The replacement vehicle is estimated to be delivered in 90 days. <br /> DISPOSAL OF REPLACED UNITS: The one vehicle to be replaced will be sold/auctioned <br /> at a later date. <br /> PRIOR COUNCIL ACTION: None. <br /> OTHER BIDDERS: Morrow Brothers Ford, Inc. <br /> POTENTIAL OBJECTIONS: There are no known objections. <br /> BUDGET IMPLICATIONS: Funding for the expenditure is available in the FY2019 Budget. <br /> INPUT FROM OTHER SOURCES: Fleet Maintenance wrote the bid specifications based on <br /> Fire Department requirements. <br /> STAFF REFERENCE: Matthew Newell, Public Works Director, Jeffery Abbott, Fire Chief, <br /> Dan Mendenall,Municipal Services Manager.
