Zientara, City Treasurer&Director of Finance <br /> SUBJECT: Ordinance Appropriating Additional Monies for the Purpose of Defraying the <br /> Expenses for Certain Funds of the City of Decatur, Illinois for the Fiscal Year <br /> Ending December 31, 2018 <br /> SUMMARY RECOMMENDATION: <br /> City Administration recommends City Council approval of the attached Ordinance. <br /> BACKGROUND: <br /> City Council passed the Annual Appropriation Ordinance 2018-07 on March 5, 2018 for the <br /> purpose of defraying the expenses of certain departments and funds of the City of Decatur for the <br /> fiscal year beginning January 1, 2018 and ending December 31, 2018. <br /> It is now necessary to appropriate additional funds for operational expenditures necessary for the <br /> City to effect provision of services to its citizens which were not anticipated at the time the City <br /> Council adopted Ordinance 2018-07. <br /> . Fleet Maintenance Fund #60. Appropriate $17,000 to defray the cost of vehicle <br /> maintenance expense exceeding the original budget appropriation. <br /> The additional appropriation requested is within the cash position balance of the fund and <br /> presents no adverse impact on overall City operations and fund balance position. <br /> POTENTIAL OBJECTION: <br /> There are no known objections to this resolution request. <br /> INPUT FROM OTHER SOURCES: <br /> No input from other sources. <br /> STAFF REFERENCES: <br /> Billy Tyus, City Manager <br /> Gregg D.Zientara, City Treasurer&Director of Finance <br /> Page 1 of 2 <br />
