BID PR4POSAL CRETURN WITH BID For Construction of: 2419 Valve&Hydrant Replaceznent Projec# City Project No.: 2Q19-23 tJwner: City of Decatur,Illinois Frospective Bidder: The undersigned Bidder, having examined the specifications, drawings and aIl other documents cantained in the Contract Documents, and having examined the site where the work is being perf'ormed, and having familiarized themselves with any lacal conditions effecting the work attd having knowledge of the cost of work at the place where the work is to be done,hereby proposes tt� execute and perform the formal Cantract set forth in these Contract Dacurnents, of which this Proposat forms a part, and will do the wark therein described on the terms and canditions therein set forth; and furnish alI required labar, materials, tools, equipment, transportation and services for said work, and pay all applicable taxes and other incidental costs, all in strict canformity with the drawings and specificatians forming a part of the Cantract Dacurnents, far an arnount computed upon the basis of tlae quantity of wark actually performed at the bid prices noted below. It is understood that any iisted c}uantities of wark ta 6e perfc�rmed at unit prices are approxirnate only and are intended principally to serve as a guide in evaluating bids. It is further agreed that any quantities of wark to be performed at unit prices and material to be furnished may be increased or decreased as may be considered necessary, in the opinion of the Owner, ta complete the wark fulty as pIanned and contemplated and that alI quantities of work,whether increased ar decreased, are to be performed at the unit prices set farth in the Bid Praposai,except as provided far in#he Generai Conditians. It is further agreed that any lamp sum prices may be irtcreased to cover additional work ardered by the Owner, but not shawn on the plans or required by the specifications, in accordanee with the provisions af the General Conditions. Sitniiarly, they may be decreased to cover deletion of work so ordered. Where supplemental unit prices are available, they shall be used to adjust lump sum prices. By subrnitting a bid, the Bidder aeknowledges the understanding that the bid pracess is salely intended to serve the public interest in achieving the highest quality of services and goads at the lawest price, �nd that no right, interest, or expectation shall vest or inure to the benefit of Bidders as a result af any reliance or participation in the process. 13
