Exhibit A <br /> SCOPE OF WORK <br /> EXHIBIT A-1 <br /> SCOPE OF PROFESSIONAL ENGINEERING SERVICES <br /> The Gity retained Chastain&Assaciates,«C,a professional engineering firm,to prepare the plan <br /> drawings and project manual that comprises the McKinley Avenue Sewer Rehabilitation project, dated <br /> Apri12019. City's intent is to publicly advertise this praject for bids and award a contract to a <br /> Contractor. <br /> The City has requested the Consulting Engineer provide bidding,construction observation and <br /> administration services for the McKinley Avenue Sewer Rehabilitation Praject as the City's <br /> representative with duties, responsibilities and limitations of authority as assigned in this Agreement. <br /> Consutting Engineer will pravide personnel to act as on-site representatives. Consulting Enginaer's <br /> progress will parallel the Contractor's progress. <br /> It is understaod Cansulting Engineer is providing bidding,construction observation and administration <br /> services to the City far a project that was designed by Chastain&Associa#es,��C and as such will be <br /> basing opinions and decisions, as well as interpretations,on the documents prepared by Chastain & <br /> Associates, �I.C. <br /> In the contract documents(i.e., plan drawings, bidding,contracting and specification dacuments),where <br /> the term En�ineer is referenced and ac#ions are required by the Engineer,the Consulting Engineer shalt <br /> assume the respansibility far those actians and not Chastain&Assaciates,Ll.C. <br /> City intends to obtain a laan from the Illinois Enviranmental Protection Agency(IEPA)State Revolving <br /> Fund (SRF}.
