Item 8: In acquiring SunGard Public Sector's Message Switch and Mobile Software, the
Customer is responsible for all of the associated costs for wireless,WAN and LAN
communication with the local providedState/NCIC neiwolcs. This may include the
following:
i. Dedicated Line
ii. Any encryption ta meet State and FBI requirements
iii. DSU to State
iv. Any wireless carrier charges and setup
v. Any installation Charges
vi. Recumng charges or costs
vii.Surcharges by the State
Item 9: The Customer shall implement an Uninterruptible Power Supply(UPS)system for
ali servers and all CAD workstations. This can be at the machine level or at the site
level. SunGard Public Sector recommends the use of an enterprise level MasteUPS
and extemal generator for full power backup.
Item 10: SunGard Public Sector software is designed for use with laser jet printers for report
output in order to utilize the wider margins availabie. Report output on non-laser
printers(inkjet, dot-matrix,etc.)may be adequate, but is not guaranteed by SunGard
Public Sector.
Item 71: Virtual Envionment Platform
Infrastructure Overview.
The server hardware may be made up of physical servers, virtual servers (using
VMware ESX), or a combination of the two, provided, however, that following
conditions apply.
Custorner and VAAware are responsible far selecting the appropriate VMware
application software and solution.
VMware supports a set of ceftified operating systems and hardware. Customer and
VMware are responsible for any interactions and/or issues that arise at the hardware
or operating system layer as a result of iheir use of VMware.
The use of a VMware virtual machine adds software overhead, which may impact
petformance or scalability. Any statements made by SunGard Public Sector on
expected product pertomnance on a hardware platform cannot be interpreted to apply
to a virtual machine running on the same hardwae platform. Customer must allocate
at least an equivalent amaunt af virtualized resources to the OSSI systems in order to
address performance issues. The VMware organization can provide information on
how ta tune your environment to maximize the performanoe within a virtual machine.
IF a performance issue is reparted, the VMware layer, as well as the sofiware, will be
suspect in the research. Any research required on the VMware peformance will be
theesponsibility of the Customer.
SunGard Public Secto will use commercially reasonable efforts to investigate
potential issues with OSSI soflware runing in conjunction with VMware. Whee
issues are confirmed to be unrelated to the VMware sofiware, SunGard Public Sector
will suppoct its software in a manner that is consistent with suppoR provided when that
software is running natively under the host operating system.
Required and/or aptional software vendors may not support VMware software. These
vendors may require the issue to be reproduced independently from VMware
software.
SPS Lbcense 7Mf2010
