DETAILED TOWING SPECIFICATIONS SCQPE UF WC1RK The City af Decatur intends to cantract for supplying towing services. This cantract is divided into two categories of tow work. Category One will consist of the removal and/or impaund�nent of any vehicle not awned or leased by the City af Decatur from the streets of the City of Decatur and adjacent areas upan order of any City police officer ar impoundnnent officer direction. Category Two of this contract deals with transpc�rting any City of I}ecatur owned, leased,rented, or seized vehicle andlor making necessary emergency road repairs as requested. PERIOD OF CONTRACT The contract �eriod will be for three years effective approximately August 1, 2019 through July 31,2022. INFURMATIQN Bidder shall subrt�it the following information on the forms provided with their bid, a detailed descriptioan of equipment, facilities, and personnei currentty availa6te for use in rendering service. (See Bidder's Questiannaire). A detailed description of all equipment, vehicle starage facilities and pexsonnel intended to be used by,or available to bidder,including but not limited to the following details: A} location of storage lot, B) security features of storage lot; C) if storage Iot leased, the terms of the lease and the name and address of the Iessor; D} size of the storage lot; E} information eoncerning owners of cornpanies and drivers of tow trucks used on contract service; F)list of towing et�uiprnent available for this contract. CATEGORY OI�E This app�ies to vehicles not c�wned or leased by the City af Decatur which are removed andlar impounded frcim the streets of the City of Decatur and adjacent areas under the order and direction c�f any City af Decatur police officer or impc��zndment officer. By way of example,but not limited to, this would include rennaving wrecked vehicles fronn accident s�cenes, removing vehicles which cc�nstitute a traffic hazard, removing vehicles that may be evidence of a crime, remaving vehicles involving injury where operator is unable to select an option or for removai resulting from an accident and removing any ather privately awned vehicles in accordance with any ordinance of the City of Decatur or laws of the State of Illinois. (ie: abandoned vehicles).
