E., Public Works Director <br /> SUBJECT: Resolution Authorizing an Agreement with Jimmie Soules Bird Repelent <br /> Company for Downtown Bird Control <br /> SUMMARY RECOMMENDATION: <br /> It is recommended by City staff that the City Council approve the attached resolution authorizing <br /> the Mayor to execute an agreement between the City and Jimmie Soules Bird Repelent Company <br /> for the control of birds in downtown Decatur for a period of three years beginning October 1, <br /> 2020 through September 30, 2023 for an amount not to exceed$75,000.00. <br /> PRIOR COUNCIL ACTION: <br /> • September 30, 2002 — City Council approved Resolution R2002-188, authorizing <br /> Agreement with Soules Bird Repelent Company of Decatur, Illinois, for Bird <br /> Control Services in the Central Business District for a period ending September 30, <br /> 2005. <br /> • September 6, 2005 — City Council approved Resolution R2005-120, authorizing <br /> Agreement with Soules Bird Repelent Company of Decatur, Illinois, for Bird <br /> Control Services in the Central Business District for a period ending September 30, <br /> 2008. <br /> • October 20, 2008 — City Council approved Resolution R2008-177, authorizing <br /> Agreement with Soules Bird Repelent Company of Decatur, Illinois, for Bird <br /> Control Services in the Central Business District for a period ending September 30, <br /> 2011. <br /> • September 6, 2011 — City Council approved Resolution R2011-145 authorizing <br /> Agreement with Soules Bird Repelent Company of Decatur, Illinois, for Bird <br /> Control Services in the Central Business District for a period ending September 30, <br /> 2014. <br /> • September 29, 2014 — City Council approved Resolution R2014-119 authorizing <br /> Agreement with Soules Bird Repelent Company of Decatur, Illinois, for Bird <br />
