Irons,Neighborhood Services Manager <br /> SUBJECT: Adoption of the FY20-24 Consolidated Plan and FY20 Annual Action <br /> Plan for CDBG and HOME Funds <br /> RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends adoption of the FY20-24 Consolidated <br /> Plan which includes the FY20 Annual Action Plan for CDBG and HOME funds. The <br /> U. S. Department of Housing and Urban Development reviewed and approved the City's <br /> FY20 Annual Action Plan. This year's allocation includes $1,417,995 in Community <br /> Development Block Grant funds and$431,353 in HOME Investment Partnership funds. <br /> BACKGROUND: In accordance with the guidelines set forth by the U. S. Department <br /> of Housing and Urban Development(HUD),the Neighborhood Services Division <br /> develops a five-year Consolidated Plan. As part of the Consolidated Plan a one-year <br /> action plan is produced. The Annual Action Plan describes funding allocations for fiscal <br /> year 2020 along with strategic implementation of the priorities identified in the City's <br /> Consolidated Plan(see attached). The City Council reviewed and approved the CDBG <br /> and HOME funds during the adoption of the FY21 budget. <br /> The FY20 Annual Action Plan is available for public review in three locations: Decatur <br /> Public Library, Decatur Housing Authority Administrative Office, and the Community <br /> Development Department.
