Excerpts from Plan Commission Meeting of December 3, 2020: <br /> Case No. 20-43 Petition of CARISA LAMB for a Conditional Use Permit in the R-3 <br /> Single-Family Residence District to allow for a Day Care Home, Large in an existing <br /> residence located at 2220 NORTH LONGWOOD DRIVE.The property is zoned R-3 Single- <br /> Family Residence District. <br /> It was moved and seconded (Peoples/Frantz)to forward Case No. 20-43 to the City Council with <br /> a recommendation of approval as set forth in the staff report. <br /> Mr. Greg Crowe was sworn in by Mrs. Janet Poland. <br /> Mr. Crowe discussed and presented slides of the site and surrounding properties(available for <br /> viewing upon request) along with staff's recommendation for approval of the petition based on <br /> the staff report distributed to the Plan Commission prior to the meeting (staff report is on file and <br /> is available for reviewing by request)with the following conditions: <br /> a. That the proposed operation will not be allowed to exceed the maximum number of <br /> children allowed by the State of Illinois. <br /> b. The hours of operation will be Monday through Friday 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. <br /> c. That the proposed operation be in compliance with applicable provisions of the City's <br /> adopted Building Codes, including obtaining a building permit to perform any proposed or <br /> required improvements to the existing dwelling. <br /> d. That the proposed daycare be appropriately licensed by the State of Illinois at all times. <br /> The petitioner shall supply the City with a copy of the daycare license. <br /> Ms. Carisa Lamb, petitioner, was sworn in by Mrs. Poland. <br /> Ms. Lamb stated she has three (3) children of her own and would like to have a home day care <br /> which requires a Conditional Use Permit. <br /> Discussion amongst the Plan Commission members,the petitioner and City Staff followed Mr. <br /> Crowe's presentation including the certifications Ms. Lamb presently has and will have to <br /> obtain. <br /> There were no objectors present. <br /> Upon call of the roll, Commission members Kent Newton, Mike Peoples, Bill Clevenger, Bruce <br /> Frantz,Rick Johnson, Steve Kline and Susie Peck voted aye. Motion carried. <br />
