The City is required to adopt a resolution specifying the allocation of State
MFT funds to their intended projects. IDOT must receive an MFT appropriation before they will approve the expenditure of State
MFT money.
2021 Street Restoration Project 2021-08
The first resolution appropriates$950,000 in State MFT funds for asphalt street work for the proposed 2021 Street Restoration
project,City Project 2021-08. The Street Restoration project is part of the annual maintenance program that generally consists of
milling off a portion of an existing asphalt street surface and placing new asphalt that restores the integrity of the street surface.
The 2021-08 project will perform mill and overlay work on two sections of Jasper Street and overlay a section of concrete on
Airport Road just north of U.S.36.
The proposed street list for asphalt rehabilitation is as follows(see attached location map):
Begin End Surface Treatment Length(feet) Length
Street (Lane Miles)
S.Jasper E.Lake Shore E. The Concrete and Brick Street project is being prepared as
a separate project from the annual Street Restoration project, because of the amount of concrete street patches being proposed this
https://decatur.novusagenda.com/AgendaWeb/CoverSheet.aspx?ltemlD=3308 1/2
