3.1 During the Term of this Agreement, DoIT shall perform the following Fiber Management Services as <br /> described below: <br /> i) Networks Operations and Customer Support: <br /> (1) 24x7x365 Helpdesk at Communication Management Center monitoring the network and <br /> responding to alarms and customer calls; <br /> (2) Regional Technology centers provide local customer support; <br /> (3) Management/coordination of ongoing splice requests; <br /> (4) Management of fiber/conduit acceptance; <br /> (5) Management/coordination of third party contractors for splicing; <br /> (6) Coordination between maintenance contractor and customers for scheduled maintenance <br /> work; <br /> (7) Customer notifications/coordination for unscheduled maintenance work; <br /> (8) Management of locate contractor; <br /> ii) Maintenance: <br /> (1) Routine maintenance—patrol of network. Correcting potential hazards or deficiencies, for <br /> example, repairing or replacing damaged hand hole or man hole lids, replacing missing cable <br /> markers; <br /> (2) Emergency repair and restoration-24/365 call out to address service affecting conditions; <br /> (3) Fiber splicing and termination—Splicing services to address repairs or to interconnect with <br /> other providers (e.g. customer)fiber; <br /> (4) Pursue reimbursement for repair costs resulting from bad locating, failure to call JULIE, failure <br /> to adhere to locate markings; <br /> (5) Public Agency billed per Pricing section, above. <br /> Hi) Locates: <br /> (1) Responds to emergency and non-emergency locate requests, i.e. a party wanting to <br /> dig/trench an area where fiber is buried. The party notifies JULIE and JULIE issues a ticket to <br /> the State for the locate request. The company the State has contracted to processes the <br /> locate request goes out and marks ground where fiber is buried. <br /> ARTICLE 4-TERM <br /> 4.1 This IGA has an initial term starting on the last dated signature of the Parties and extending until <br /> November 7, 2021. Thereafter, this IGA will automatically renew for additional one (1) year <br /> terms, for no more than ten (10) years total,unless either Party provides notice,at least 30 days <br /> in advance of the anniversary of the last dated signature of the Parties, that it does not wish to <br /> renew. <br /> 5 <br />
