Residuals shall mean material other than recyclable materials. <br /> RTF shall mean Recycling Transfer Facility that allows unloading of recyclable materials, <br /> collected through the City's curbside single stream recycling program,when the SSMRF is <br /> not located in the immediate area. <br /> Single-Stream Material Recovery Facility(SSMRF)shall mean a facility where recyclable <br /> materials are received single stream, sorted and processed or prepared for bulk shipment to a <br /> manufacturer for use as a raw material. <br /> Single-Stream Recycling Collection shall mean municipal curbside collection of recyclable <br /> materials, wherein materials are collected, and combined together/commingled for transportation to <br /> the RTF/SSMRF. <br /> Section 2.Accepted materials under City's Single Stream Recycling Program <br /> The following materials shall be accepted by Contractor: <br /> a. Plastics-shall include plastic bottles, containers and packages made from <br /> various resins including PETE,HDPE,PVC, LDPE, PP,PS and other <br /> plastics, codes#1 through#7. <br /> b. Metals-shall include Aluminum beverage cans (like household beverage cans <br /> made of aluminum); Tin, Steel, and Bi-Metal containers (like food,beverage, <br /> nonfood and aerosol cans made of mixed metal, such as tin and steel). <br /> C. Paper-shall include old newspaper(ONP), advertising supplements and other <br /> paper grades as delivered to local subscribers of newspaper distributed in the <br /> area; magazines,junk mail,paperboard and telephone directories; paper from <br /> offices such as computer paper, sorted white ledger, copier paper and office <br /> stationary. <br /> d. Cardboard-shall not include waxed cardboard but shall include all other <br /> cardboard. <br /> e. Glass-Includes household glass containers,bottles and jars, including amber, <br /> flint, green,mixed and/or crushed glass. <br /> Section 3. Commencement and Length of the Contract <br /> The term of this Contract shall be for four (4) years commencing May 1, 2021 and <br /> expiring on April 30, 2025. <br /> Section 4. Location of the facility <br /> Since the SSMRF is not located within the City limits, the City agrees to direct all the <br /> recyclable materials collected through the City's Single Stream Recycling Program to the <br /> Contractor's RTF located at 1781 E.
