I.,August 11, 2021, and thereafter publicly opened and read. <br /> DESCRIPTION OF PROJECT: <br /> The proposed improvement is officially known as: <br /> 2021 CDBG SIDEWALK IMPROVEMENT PROJECT <br /> CITY PROJECT 2021-21 <br /> The proposed project herein specified and described includes the following work: <br /> The proposed improvement, CDBG Sidewalk Improvement Project, designated as <br /> City Project 2021-21, consists of removing and replacing sidewalk sections that <br /> are not in compliance with Americans with Disabilities Act standards in the John <br /> Hills neighborhood of the City. The work includes over 23,400 Square Feet of <br /> PCC sidewalk replacement,utility adjustments, and various items of restoration. <br /> INSTRUCTIONS TO BIDDERS: <br /> 1. This project is utilizing Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds and is <br /> subject to all Federal Rules and Regulations included in these contract documents. <br /> 2. Plans, specifications and proposal forms may be obtained from Decatur Blue Print, <br /> Inc., 230 West Wood Street, Decatur, Illinois, 62523, (217) 423-7589, <br /> www.decaturblue.com. <br /> A MANDATORY PRE-BID will be held by CONFERENCE CALL ONLY on <br /> August 3rd, 2021, at 10:00 A.M. In addition to project questions, the opportunity will <br /> be provided to discuss the City of Decatur's Minority Participation Goals for Public <br /> Works Contracts and to explain the Section 3 bid preference and hiring goals required <br /> for this HUD Section 3 project.
