CITY OF DECATUR <br /> Clean-Up Green-Up Initiative <br /> SUBRECIPIENT AGREEMENT <br /> This Clean-Up Green-Up Initiative Agreement ("AGREEMENT") is made on this 4t" day <br /> of April, 2022, by and between the City of Decatur, an Illinois Municipal Corporation ("CITY") <br /> and Shemilah Outreach Center, an Illinois Not for Profit Corporation ("SUBRECIPIENT"). <br /> WHEREAS,the City is engaged in community revitalization efforts; and, <br /> WHEREAS,the Johns Hill Neighborhood is the location of certain community revitalization <br /> efforts; and, <br /> WHEREAS, the City has received a grant and has monies specifically dedicated and directed to <br /> the Johns Hill Neighborhood revitalization ("Project"); and, <br /> WHEREAS, Subrecipent is an Illinois Not for Profit Organization formed for the purpose of <br /> providing opportunities for youth of the community to learn valuable work skills and habits; <br /> and, <br /> WHEREAS,the Project has tasks required for revitalization including, but not limited to, <br /> neighborhood cleanups, certain minor repairs and yard maintenance of certain qualifying <br /> properties within the Project area; and, <br /> WHEREAS, Subrecipient has the human resources to provide for these certain neighborhood <br /> revitalization efforts and tasks; and, <br /> WHEREAS, Subrecipient requires funds and opportunities to promote and provide for the <br /> sustainability of Subrecipient; and, <br /> WHEREAS,the Subrecipient will assist and utilize funds provided for the Project in accordance <br /> with the guidelines established. <br /> NOW,THEREFORE, it is agreed between the parties hereto that: <br /> Section 1. WORK TO BE PERFORMED BY SUBRECIPIENT. In exchange for receiving grant funds from the <br /> CITY,the SUBRECIPIENT shall be responsible for administering the Program in a manner satisfactory to <br /> the CITY and in conformance with the terms and conditions set forth in this Agreement. <br /> Section 2. SUBRECIPIENT OBLIGATIONS. Subrecipient shall be obligated to perform and <br /> comply with the following: <br /> A. Comply with all applicable Federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and policies <br /> governing the funds provided under this agreement. <br /> 1 <br />
