The screening requirements change is a means to <br /> meet the changing needs of the industrial development community and to make Decatur more <br /> competetive in the attraction of business while protecting the needs of the other non indutrial users <br /> of land. The change to allow the Public Works Department to waive the adequate access <br /> requirement is to provide for the continuation of determination if uniques circumstances are present <br /> as the department is charged with helping to maintain the safety of our streets and sidewalks in the <br /> right-of-way. <br /> i <br /> SECTION FIVE: CERTIFICATION <br /> To be placed on the agenda of the regular meeting on the first Thursday of the month at 3:00 <br /> PM in the City Council Chambers, petition must be received on the first Thursday of the <br /> preceding month. Failure of the petitioner or the petitioner's representative to attend the Plan <br /> Commission hearing may result in items being tabled.
