Dir. of Economic &Community Development <br /> SUBJECT: Neighborhood Revitalization activities established by the American <br /> Rescue Plan Act(ARPA) and costs associated. <br /> RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends approval of the resolution for upcoming <br /> expenditures of the Owner-Occupied Rehabilitation Program. <br /> BACKGROUND: The City of Decatur has begun its activities for Neighborhood <br /> Revitalization. The Owner-Occupied Rehabilitation Program will assist residents within <br /> targeted areas with roof repairs, energy efficient improvements, i.e. Water heaters, <br /> furnaces, etc. Each project will be bid, rehabilitated and then approved for payment. The <br /> resolution will allow staff to move forward with each individual project,which is how the <br /> Residential Rehab (CDBG&HOME)programs are currently handled.
