Testcies <br /> CY <br /> Test Cycle Description Owner <br /> Functional Testing Functional Testing is completed by ITRON anytime ITRON Licensed ITRON <br /> Software is installed and/or configured during the Project.Basic <br /> functional tests are performed to verify component operation. <br /> Integration Testing Integration testing conducted to demonstrate that the required data CUSTOMER <br /> flows are operating correctly between the systems in the System and <br /> maintain business integrity,in accordance with the respective <br /> requirements.Attention is paid to the physical mechanics of the <br /> interfaces,such as the data transport management. <br /> System Testing As defined in the Test Plan and following Integration Testing,this CUSTOMER <br /> testing combines both functional and integration testing to verify that <br /> the developed System works holistically.System testing validates <br /> end-to-end business processes between all participating systems. <br /> This step can include User Acceptance Testing(UAT). <br /> Software Acceptance Software Acceptance will occur once the build is complete and there CUSTOMER <br /> are no Severity 1 or Severity 2 outstanding defects. <br /> G.2 Severity Parameters <br /> The following table defines the defect severity levels and mitigation steps for System component testing defects <br /> identified during the Project testing activities. ITRON and CUSTOMER will review all issues found through the <br /> associated testing process and agree on severity level assignment and applicable course of action as detailed <br /> below. <br /> Level Definition Actions <br /> 1 Blocking Blocks development,business process and/or testing work-Prevents completion of <br /> critical business function and no workaround exists. <br /> Mitigation:System cannot Go Live and CUSTOMER cannot accept the System with <br /> any Severity Level 1 defects present without a plan in place to address via a planned <br /> Software release or fix. <br /> 2 Critical Crashes,loss of data,and workaround is present,but difficult to pursue or is not <br /> sustainable long-term. <br /> Mitigation:System cannot Go Live or CUSTOMER cannot accept the System with <br /> any Severity Level 2 defects present without an acceptable workaround in place to <br /> address via a planned software release or fix. <br /> 3 Minor Minor loss of functionality,with a mutually agreeable workaround present;managed <br /> through product lifecycle(normal scheduled release of application). <br /> Statement of Nlotf<—City of Decatur.IL Confidential Page 10 of 22 <br />
