Information Technology <br /> DATE: 6/20/2022 <br /> MEMO: 2022-05 <br /> TO: Honorable Mayor Julie Moore Wolfe and City Council <br /> FROM: James Edwards,Director Information Technology Department <br /> SUBJECT: Itron ChoiceConnect Fixed Network Upgrade <br /> SUMMARY RECOMMENDATION: <br /> Staff recommends that City Council approve the attached resolution, authorizing the City Manager to execute a Statement of <br /> Work from Itron,Inc. to upgrade the Automatic Meter Reading System from Version 5.3 to Version 5.5. <br /> BACKGROUND: <br /> The City standardized utility meter reading through an Automatic Meter Reading System installed in 2013 utilizing software from <br /> Itron Analytics and United Systems&Software which has saved the City countless man hours of labor with meter reading and <br /> provides detailed analytic data with water consumption. This software,currently at Version 5.3,is near end of life and the City's <br /> support contract with Itron requires an upgrade to Version 5.5. <br /> The statement of work and embedded quote received for this project is attached. The proposed vendor,Itron Analytics,is the <br /> sole provider for this software.
