NpOWN 011VIV
FARM',xi;, FUND
July 25, 2022
Dear City Council Members,
Northeast Community Fund (NCF) is planning to host its 4`h annual Farm to Fund"event
on downtown Merchant Street Saturday, September 17, 2022. The fundraiser event
includes fresh from the farm dinner, entertainment and a live auction between the hours
of 6-10 p.m. All proceeds will benefit the food pantry of NCF. Alcohol purchases have
been made in the years past at cash bars throughout the event by partnering with local
vendors that have all necessary!Liquor Licenses and Caterer's Permits. We are
requesting an ordinance authorizing consumption of alcoholic liquor on the public
right-of-way for the event date. Required insurance, including the City of Decatur as an
additional insured, has been secured and is being sent with this letter to the City Clerk.
We will continue to take additional measures of safety as in years past, hiring two (2) off
duty law enforcement professionals to monitor and secure the event grounds for the
duration of the event.
Thank you for your continued support of our mission to serve the low-income families in
our community. Please let me know what additional information may be required for
approval.
Sincerely,
/(A
Trevor May
Chair, Farm to Fund
Northeast Community Fund
qipNortheas,`
"
COMMUNITY FUND
