2. Duties of the Decatur Police Department <br /> a. The supervisor within the Decatur Police Street Crimes Unit will act as a functional <br /> supervisor over Designee while Designee is working in conjunction with the DPD. <br /> b. This supervisor,or their designee,will keep a monthly record of all street crime <br /> seizures and will distribute this record to all involved agencies on a monthly basis. <br /> The supervisor,or their designee,will facilitate and track the asset seizure / <br /> forfeiture process for all Street Crimes Task Force seizures. <br /> c. The Decatur Police Department shall provide other facilities and support as may be <br /> deemed appropriate for a given investigation. <br /> 3. Duties of the Macon County State's Attorney <br /> a. The Macon County State's Attorney shall provide a full-time prosecutor to provide <br /> legal assistance and prosecutorial support during all phases of investigation and <br /> prosecution of the Street Crimes Task Force cases under the direction and <br /> supervision of the Macon County State's Attorney. <br /> b. The Macon County State's Attorney shall provide appropriate clerical support for <br /> these activities. <br /> c. The Macon County State's Attorney shall provide other facilities and support as may <br /> be deemed appropriate for a given investigation. <br /> 4. General Duties in Acting Pursuant to this Agreement <br /> a. The Macon County Sheriffs Office may assist the Decatur Police Department with <br /> criminal investigation in the City's jurisdiction and deputized officers will assist the <br /> Sheriffs Office with criminal investigation in the jurisdiction of County outside the <br /> City's boundaries. <br /> b. That other operational procedures,including,but not limited to,report writing,use <br /> of confidential sources and advance funds,and case procedures within a given <br /> agency shall be the responsibility of and officers/deputies shall follow the procedures <br /> normally associated with the agency that is considered the original or lead agency on <br /> the specific case. <br /> STREET CRIMES TASK FORCE BOARD <br /> The Decatur Police Department,the Macon County Sheriffs Office,and the Macon County <br /> State's Attorney's Office shall maintain a Street Crimes Task Force Board to discuss and implement <br /> policies and procedures for the Decatur-Macon County Street Crimes Task Force. Such Board shall <br /> consist of the Sheriff of Macon County,the Decatur Police Department Chief of Police and the <br /> State's Attorney of Macon County,or their designees. <br /> 3 <br />
