To this end, coordination will take place with
existing utilities and stakeholders including Norfolk Southern Railroad and the
Illinois Department of Transportation. Further investigation on properties within
Basin 5 and 6 will be performed to note required disconnection of roof drains
from sewer laterals, to confirm location of sewer laterals in portions of the route,
and to evaluate potential easement requirements.
Additional modeling will be performed based on additional information collected
to support the conclusions arrived in Alternative 3. This includes investigation on
potential interconnections with a separate storm sewer system, confirmation of
capacity of the outfall sewer, and incorporating flow currently known but
unaccounted for.
A topographic survey will be obtained for the refined alignment during this phase.
Information from this survey will be reviewed for areas that may require further
investigation. A $50,000 allowance is included in the design cost to cover this.
Initial application for SRF funding will be prepared during this phase. Also, based
on any revisions during this phase, the Conceptual Level Cost Estimate will be
refined.
Input:
1-1.1 City of Decatur Record Documents
Activities:
A-1.1 Conduct Topographic Survey
A-1.2 Meetings with IDOT
A-1.3 Meetings with Norfolk Southern Railroad
A-1.4 Meet with City staff to discuss options
2 of 8
